With daytime demonstrations of colorful kites, synchronized flying to musical accompaniment and night flights, the "Aerial Miracles" kite festival celebrates its eleventh anniversary on August 26 and 27 in Varna.
The spectacular celebration of free flight under the motto "On the way of the birds" will go around our entire Black Sea coast, following the flight path of the birds "Via Pontica".
One-day and two-day kite demonstrations will be held at eight different locations along the sea. "The main highlight of the event are the demonstrations of international kite clubs and aerial artists in Varna on August 26 and 27. They will present their unique model kites, often reaching impressive sizes, the controllable model kite competitions and the children's workshops, where the little ones show their talents and have fun. From 10.00 to 17.00 during the announced festival days, the professional clubs of the participants will show their latest creations, including the attractive for children three-dimensional models of various animals - bears, tigers, octopuses, ladybirds, birds, fish and many others. For the first time, ten aerial artists will show masterful control of sport kites in sync with music - these are advanced models that fly very fast and describe complex shapes in the sky.
The parade will be accompanied by a stage program, pleasant music and other entertainment for young and old. The International Kite Festival, held every summer in Varna, Shabla and other locations along our Black Sea coast, has established itself as a beautiful tradition and celebration, attracting thousands of audiences. This year's edition of the colorful extravaganza will again cover our entire Black Sea coast from south to north, following the Black Sea bird flyway "Via Pontica".
An unforgettable holiday awaits us with demonstrations on the following beaches: With Varna, Asparuhovo beach - August 26 - 27; Shkorpilovtsi north - August 29; Albena - August 30; Poplar Sky - August 31; Shabla, Malkoto More - September 2 - 3.

In addition to being an already established cultural event and an indisputable attraction for the residents and guests of our Black Sea coast, the festival is also known for the fact that each of its editions engages with causes and socially significant messages, such as those related to the cleanliness of the environment, the protection of endangered animal species and nature in general. And this year, during the event, we expect not only kites to fly in the sky, but also flocks of storks, pelicans and other south-migrating birds. That is why the motto of the festival is "On the way of the birds", with a call for their protection along their entire migration route.
Traditionally, the festival "Air Wonders" is held in late August, when the city attracts many guests from the country and abroad. The Air Wonders Kite Festival is one of the favorites of small and large emblematic events in the sea capital - an attraction for the thousands of residents and guests of the city in the middle of summer. With each passing year the festival grows and becomes more attractive and successful, and with its international character this innovative and colorful cultural event contributes to the construction of the specific image of the city.

In August 2021 the festival celebrates its ninth anniversary, and the two festival days in Varna (August 21 and 22, Asparuhovo beach) will be followed by demonstrations of kites in Primorsko (August 25-26, MMC-Primorsko beach), Varvara (27 August), Sinemorets (August 28 - 29, Veleka beach) and Shabla (September 4-6). Thus, the festival will cover different locations on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast and will last for 2 weeks. The main focus of the event is the demonstrations of international kite clubs, which present their unique kite models, often reaching impressive sizes, competitions with controllable kite models and children's workshops, where kids show their talents and have fun.

From 10.00 to 18.00 during the announced festival days the professional clubs of the participants will show their latest creations, including the attractive for children three-dimensional models of various animals - bear, tiger, octopus, ladybugs, fish and many others. We expect to witness a masterful management of sport kites - these are advanced models that fly very fast and describe complex figures in the sky.

The parade will be accompanied by pleasant music and other entertainment for young and old. The festival hosts art workshops and workshops for children's creativity on topics related to flying, wind and nature conservation.
This year again guests of the festival will be activists from Greenpeace - Bulgaria, who will present their cause for the protection of life at sea and endangered aquatic life. The organizer of the event is Asto Club with the support of the Municipality of Varna through the Culture Fund.

For another year, huge colorful kites will color the sky over Asparuhovo beach on August 22 and 23, 2020. Traditionally, the festival attracts many guests from the country and abroad, and the event is organized by Club Asto with the support of Varna Municipality through the Culture Fund.
