European Sailing Championship in Varna

Preparations for the European Sailing Championship have started in Varna.

The construction of the boat park for the upcoming European Laser Sailing Championship in the sea capital, planned for October 2-9 in the area of the Sea Station, started today, the organizers announced. With this, the Bulgarian Sailing Federation and SC "Black Sea Breeze" hosted by the Municipality of Varna began the official preparations for the competition, which was to take place in May, but was postponed due to the epidemic situation.

The racing yachts will go out to sea from the favorite pedestrian zone of the Sea Station by Varna residents and guests of the city, which will make the meeting with adrenaline and emotions even more memorable. So far, 40 nations have applied for participation, eight of them outside Europe - among them the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and others.
