Varna International Regatta 2025 starts julyWith the commencement of the Varna International Regatta 2025, one of the most eagerly awaited events on the coastal capital's calendar, the sailing spirit is returning to Varna. One of the oldest and most reputable sailing clubs, "Yacht Club Cap. G. Georgiev – Port Varna," is in charge of organizing the competition in Bulgaria. Nearly 150 teenage sailors from Bulgaria and Romania will compete in a spectacular race in Varna Bay from July 18 to 20.
Participants will participate in the Optimist, 420, ILCA 4, ILCA 6, ILCA 7, and FINN classes. The races will be held close to the coast, making them visible to city dwellers and visitors and serving as a source of inspiration for upcoming young mariners. The regatta prizes are named after the renowned Cap. Georgi Georgiev, who was the first Bulgarian to circumnavigate the globe in a yacht.
The seasoned Evgeniy Mavrodiev will serve as the race's chief judge, and the weather forecast indicates that sailing conditions will be ideal. The 2025 Varna International Regatta is scheduled on the Bulgarian Sailing Federation's official sports calendar.
